Anya Jensen is a barefoot shoe industry expert who founded the comprehensive website Anya’s Reviews, and annual The Barefoot Shoe Expo, alongside her husband Justin and amazing team. She has been a leader in the movement toward natural foot care and minimalist shoes since 2018.

Dr. Conley

Dr. Courtney Conley is the founder of Gait Happens, where she pursues her passion for helping as many people as possible reclaim their foot function.

As an internationally renowned foot and gait specialist, Dr. Conley teaches both nationally and internationally. She is a chiropractic physician with a BA in Kinesiology, a BA in Human Biology, and a Doctorate in Chiropractic Medicine. Based in Lakewood, CO, Dr. Conley owns and operates Total Health Solutions clinic and Total Health Performance gym, where she leads patient care focused on restoring gait mechanics and resolving foot problems to help people move more easily and pain-free.

She is also a founding member of the Healthy Foot Alliance, an international team of practitioners dedicated to promoting the benefits of natural footwear, preventing unnecessary surgeries, and improving foot function to create a stable foundation from the ground up. Dr. Jen Perez is the co-founder and COO of Gait Happens, a global leader in lower extremity education.

As a chiropractor and gait specialist, Dr. Perez is passionate about educating both individuals and professionals on the importance of lower extremity biomechanics in obtaining meaningful results for patients. She holds a Doctorate in Chiropractic and a Bachelors of Science degree in Kinesiology with a concentration in Sports Medicine. Based in Lafayette, CO, Dr. Perez also owns and operates Kinetic Chiropractic, where she offers personalized care and treatment to help patients restore optimal movement and alleviate pain. Through her online and in person work she has been able to help clients worldwide, with a focus on foot health and corrective exercise.

Dr. Perez has been featured on 9News and in publications such as Women’s Health, National Geographic, CNN Underscored. In addition to her teaching and course-writing with Gait Happens, she has also lectured to numerous educational institutions and associations such as the Canadian Pedorthic Assocation, Palmer College of Chiropractic, and the Florida Chiropractic Association.

Dr. Anne Sharkey is a double board-certified podiatrist and board-certified lifestyle medicine physician in Austin, Texas. As the founder of Solely Podiatry, she specializes in personalized, prevention-focused foot and ankle care that empowers patients to move better and live stronger.
Passionate about restoring natural foot function, Dr. Sharkey educates her patients on the importance of intentional footwear choices and structured adaptation. She advocates for a gradual 90-day transition when moving into barefoot shoes, allowing time for intrinsic muscle strengthening, tissue remodeling, and neuromuscular retraining.

Through patient care, media contributions, and social platforms, Dr. Sharkey is committed to helping people build healthier foundations—from the ground up.
